Marine Sales & Service Representative

Galloway International Ltd, a respected New Zealand manufacturer and supplier of marine equipment is seeking an experienced and customer‑focused Marine Sales & Service Representative to join our team. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with strong technical knowledge of marine products and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
An ideal candidate would preferably have experience in a similar role with an interest in boating, kayaking and fishing being advantageous. Minimum working hours will be 40 per week and pay rate will be commensurate with experience.
Position Overview
The Marine Sales & Service Representative will be responsible for providing product expertise, supporting customers with technical enquiries, processing sales, and ensuring that all service work is carried out to the highest standard. The position involves working closely with both domestic and international customers, industry partners, and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide sales support and technical advice across the full Galloway International Ltd marine product range
- Manage customer enquiries, prepare quotes, and process sales orders
- Conduct inspections, servicing, and repairs of marine product (where certified or trained)
- Maintain accurate records of service activities and product inventory
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders
- Assist with product demonstrations, training sessions, and trade events
- Ensure all work complies with relevant marine safety and quality standards
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in the marine industry, preferably in sales, servicing, or technical support
- Strong understanding of marine equipment or related products
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to interpret technical information and provide accurate guidance
- Competent with Microsoft Office and general administrative software
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of professionalism
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Relevant technical or industry certification would be advantageous, but not essential
